This is the start of the UEFA Champions League thread, starting with the qualifying round now (15th August 2017) and will continue throughout the year until May 2018.

I knew Qarabag would avoid defeat but thought Copenhagen would equalise in the 2nd half. Liverpool won as expected. CSKA scored a 90th minute goal; maybe wrong assignment considering these matches are all in the same competition except different cities/countries. Sporting Lisbon avoided defeat. APOEL Nicosia scored 2 early goals to win 2-0.

Jurgen Klopp's transits were very good, so it seemed a Draw or Liverpool Win, but with Spartak's Manager also having good transits; a draw was the conclusion. |
