BTW Mars/Chiron can be extremely physical. Well Mars is physical on his own, but Chiron operates through the body as well (it means: "hand" after all), if there are psychosomatic issues I would almost bet that some Chiron-activation is in place.
It can hurt and heal through the body, but what I want to say is that it is a deeply earthy, physical/ sensual energy, though at the same time it imbues spirit, too, into the body. Maybe that is what makes it so difficult, but in my observation it is spirit as channelled into or felt in pretty much every cell of your body, something getting under your skin literally.
Mars-Chiron hence can be (not always of course) about "sexual healing", though it probably is more Martian redblooded, than down right the tantric or reiki route, though might be as well, but probably the tantric route needs some more spiritual energy attached to Chiron. I am not sure about that though. HOwever Mars-Chiron seems to be very compelling attractionwise, though depending what else is attached to it, the strong sensuality can become the hook for also pulling some painful experience in. After all Chiron is one of the most naked and vulnerable places in our chart (where we often experience some sort of shame, no matter how unfounded), and if Mars is like usually acting as the bull in a chinashop, well it can get too much.
Infused with your Node, it seems to be part of your spiritual path as well as you being attached to that energy on a soullevel, that you will find a way to integrate that physical aspect. Sex might be particularly cathartic (and healing/ Purifying to you), at least if everything goes well.
Interestingly I have a Thor`s Hammer which includes Mars and Chiron.
Chiron squares my Vertex and both sesisquare Mars-ASC, it is not exactly the same, but still interesting. ERos (conjunct my Vertex) is also squaring my Chiron and sesisquare my Mars obviously

HOwever I am not surprised that the synastry with your husband shows the Mars/Chiron= Node, again.
I believe that we are usually drawn in more meaningful ways (meaning it feels deeper than the soley surface-attraction, but reaches under our skin) to people who
1) mirror/ share certain astrological traits we have
2) mirror those traits through synastry
Probably both whappens simultaneously and I wouldn`t be surprised if these would become most promiment if the aspects being repeated through transits or progressions as well.
Interestingly both, P and Lancelot, share a bit of Eros/Chiron with me.
for P both are sextile each other in his natal: 1°15 - his Eros/Chiron-mp is on 8°58 Aries, which interestingly falls onto his DRaco Mars-Jupiter and his wife`s Sun (and is opposed by my Pluto. lol)
I think he has probably the easiest time with Eros/Chiron due to it being in sextile aspect, from Pisces to Taurus, he can more easily harmonize these two. I suppose that is what I noticed about him when I first was in his physical proximity, that strong physicality and he seemed so "at home in his body", which fascinated me, as this certainly always has been an issue for me. He does have his own issues, but expressing himself in a physical way is not part of it, even though he IS very critical of his body, but somehow these seem to be two different things. lol
Lancelot has a square between Eros and Chiron, like I do. Just in his case the square is from Aquarius - Chiron (orb: 1°24)
Eros/Chiron-mp on 23°47 Pisces, and funny enough this is conjunct my Draco Mars on 25°00 Pisces
Interestingly P`s wife does not have an aspect between Chiron and Eros herself, she seems to just have unknowing stumbled into a minefield there. lol
But maybe not!
Cause even though she does not have a real aspect there, she does have the midpoint configuration of Eros/Chiron conjunct Mars

And her Mars is conjunct P`s Chiron on 9°35 Taurus and trines his Mars on 11°06 Virgo.
(funny enough MY Mars is oposing HER Chiron exactly. lol).
my Draco Eros/Chiron-mp also falls onto 25°22 Virgo, exactly onto P`s tropical DESC and of course opposing my Draco Mars-ASC, and additionally it falls onto Lanecloet`s Draco Venus and widely opposes his tropical Eros/Chiron-mp.
