I'm wondering if some couples have an advantage based on the zodiacal order of planets in their composite.
If we consider that the transiting sun, moon, and house cusps/angles always proceed directly, these three will hit each planet sequentially, at their varying rates of speed.
So if two composites have Venus conjunct Pluto, but in reverse positions, then one composite will have Pluto highlighted by transits before Venus, and the other will have Venus highlighted before Pluto.
Is Pluto-then-Venus a "kiss and make up" sequence? While Venus-then-Pluto is either "it's getting deeper" or "it's too much, it's over"?
Or lets say you have Venus-Mars-Saturn followed by Mercury. You have potential catastrophe followed by reflection and discussion.
If Mercury comes first, maybe you're prepared, so the catastrophe doesn't happen, you worked it out beforehand. Or, you wasted your opportunity, and now the moon is right on that stellium, things are going haywire but it will be a while before Mercury is engaged by aspect again.
See what I mean?
Is there any potential value in looking at things this way?

Is there any potential value in looking at things this way? Yes, absolutely. It also highlights the special case of nearly exact orbs, as these planets are being triggered simultaneously. But of course there is a sequence involved. For example, P and me have both Venus in Capricorn, mine is on an earlier degree, so I was experiencing the Pluto transit over my Venus some years prior, our composite experienced it in recent years, and his Pluto transit is coming up next year or so. Maybe the one after that. Or I was having a progressed fullmoon in 2015, our composite will have it in 2019 I think, and he will experience his own progressed fullmoon some years after that. On the other hand he is the one experiencing transits to mercury first, as his Mercury is on an earlier degree. Also of cours it might make a difference in meaning, but I am not quite sure, that in our composite Mercury-Neptune-conjunction, Neptune is on 15 Sag and Mercury on 17 Sag. So first Neptune gets hit, then Mercury. Which I actually like because sometimes Neptune really IS about confusion and unclear things (though also synchronicities and nonverbal communication, even psychic one) and Mercury seems to step in after that confusion takes place and make for a more rational asessment after a while at least. our Sappho is on the same degree as Mercury btw. Also with our wide conjunction of Moon and Venus (22 and 16 Capricorn), well Venus is the earlier planet, so Venus is being waking up first, then comes Moon, very traditional sequence. lol And well Mars, through square, actually takes over just after Moon, they are in a partile square, but still Mars is on a later degree. So viewing those 4th harmonic composite aspects we have this sequence Pluto 15 Libra Venus 16 Capricorn NN 20 Libra Moon 22 Capricorn Mars 23 Libra I suppose that there might be subtle difference in how this manifests to the same planets in a different sequence maybe. Well as you can see Tr Uranus and Tr Pluto were quite busy with our composite in recent years. lol

Thanks lucina ! "Also of cours it might make a difference in meaning, but I am not quite sure, that in our composite Mercury-Neptune-conjunction, Neptune is on 15 Sag and Mercury on 17 Sag. Oh yes, DEFINITELY! That's how you two are! Neptune preceding Mercury...dreams/astral contact preceding confirmation. edit - overtalking

My husband and I tend to argue through the vernal equinox period with the Aries sun transiting conjunct our composite MC, opp IC-Saturn. Virtually always. I can put it on the calendar. Then the sun moves into opposition with Venus, which at least is a softer planet, and not as badly felt, and finally the sun trines composite moon.
I feel that clockwork sequence is a decent pattern: Saturn, Venus, moon. One step malefic, two steps benefic, or one step back, two steps forward.
