pufferfishy, I done an unofficial test to see how good I am and I think I done pretty well considering how long I have been learning. My partner suggests A2 level, which is the second level of six, where C2 is total fluency/expert ability like a native speaker. For completeness: A0 <- Newcomer A1 <- Survival level A2 <- I am here. (Head above water) B1 <- becoming proficient B2 <- general great level for living and working with the language (This is my Goal) C1 <- start learning more written sentences and terms. C2 <- fluency and cohorent D <- native speaker

LOL, how did you know sven555 ? Someone annoyed me recently and my finger was on the red button, ready to nuke the whole friendship in one satisfying moment. I always feel paranoid when I read things like this. Hope it wasn't me. I've been wondering if I'll ever hear from someone again. They were acting odd last year, and I didn't hear from them at Christmas. My birthday is coming up, so if I don't hear from them, I guess that's it. I would like to say that I don't care, but I do, and I'm just feeling like backing away from everyone. Because I am the way I am now, because I haven't felt close to anyone for a while. I feel like everyone's going to disappear, or I'm not allowing my own opinions, angry or not. Or I'm just not good enough. |

No, anela, it would never be you, because you never come at me with accusations. I was telling pufferfishy, it's *THE* trigger for me in my life, if I am trying to be nice to a person and they turn around and directly, openly attack me. You would have to deliberately and consciously attack me to get that reaction. Like "Starvega, you creep! Why didn't you do what I wanted?!" And it's especially galling if I had been very consciously TRYING to be nice. I know it sounds almost unbelievable that this is my pattern in life, that I try to help and people take it the wrong way and get mad at me. But I guess I am just really talented at screwing up accidentally, and people don't give me any of the benefit of the doubt. Anyway.....I hate losing people, too. I hope you hear from the person you want to hear from. ❤️ |

That's right  I have being socializing with family too, which is a real confidence booster and good for practice. I have tried a few times ordering in restaurants, but got stumped on the responses from waiters/waitresses. However I think soon I will be able to do it with style. |
