Rare event: Venus transits the sun (2012)

Apart from the simple sun-Venus conjunction, you can see that Venus' geocentric NN was aligned with its heliocentric NN at 16.30 Gemini. I will post a chart for this event later, along with an astrology article.

I just read some of the article on Planetary Nodes, and wow I have never heard of them before!
How do we calculate our own planetary nodes, as I see they indicate special abilites

Or in world terms, they cause great events?

The article I posted on the nodes is mainly about the heliocentric NNs of each planet, which move very slowly. Your sun is on the Helio NN of Mars and that is considered highly significant; it's expected that you would embody Mars energy in a more pronounced way. The tumblr article I posted has a bit more information on it. I believe this functions almost like a sun-Mars conjunction, just more subtle.

The event I'm addressing here is the rare transit of Venus across the surface of the sun; it's like an eclipse except it doesn't block out the whole surface of the sun. It has only happened twice in our lifetime, and it will not happen again this century. It looks like this:

I'm still learning about the astrological significance of this transit; many astrologers say its influence is long-lasting, hence the value of examining it in retrospect....its effect is supposedly ongoing and part of our current energy landscape.

That is very strange, just a tiny dot on the sun; and it can lead to a lot of good things!

My heliocentric sun NN is Martian energy? Yeah that makes sense, I use my energy very constructively and equally appreciate that this is a gift that is uncommon ! Make use of gifts.

Your regular, tropical sun sits on the heliocentric north node of Mars.

Yes, supposedly that was a defining moment for humanity, when Venus transited the sun.

The articles I've seen talk about how this event signifies that the "divine feminine" will come into prominence again.

But the chart has:

- sun square Mars (chart ruler)
- Cap moon conjunct Pluto
- Aries ASC-Uranus square moon-Pluto

I think there is more to it than that, but I am also looking for more information....something that matches the chart.

We're coming up on another sun-Venus conjunction so I'm looking at this whole topic more closely again.

Venus Phase Cycle, 1900-2050

Venus takes only 225 days to orbit the Sun. However, when she is
viewed from Earth, her full synodic cycle (from inferior
conjunction to inferior conjunction with the Sun) takes 584 days,
or about 1.6 years. This is due to the interaction of Venus’s 225-
day orbital period with the 365-day orbital period of the Earth.
Below is a listing of the principal stages in each Venus
phase cycle, with a line space between each 1.6-year cycle. Note
that each new Venus phase cycle begins about a biquintile (144
degrees) earlier in the zodiac than the previous one. In five
successive phase cycles the inferior conjunction points (or other
comparable points in the cycles) trace a pentagram around the
zodiac.



Five Venus phase cycles take almost exactly eight years.
At the end of every five cycles, we have inserted an extra line
space. This marks the beginning of a new series of five cycles. The
new series traces a similar pentagram, but everything is displaced
approximately two degrees earlier.

Note also that every four years the superior conjunction
takes place at almost exactly the same zodiacal degree (within
only a few minutes of arc) and usually on the same day of the year
as the preceding inferior conjunction.

Direct station on my IC (rectified), max elongation on my birthday, superior conjunction square my nodes, max elongation exact on my SN.

The OP is about a sun-Venus conjunction that happened , which was conjunct my Mars, tightly aspecting my sun (0°02 orb) and sextile my Jupiter.

It's interesting to me that same year in which I have an exact sun-Venus conjunction in my solar return (2018) is the year that begins a new Venus phase cycle which ties in rather precisely & repeatedly with my natal chart. The nodal involvement is especially interesting.

Really it's all kind of sublime, the math and geometry of these patterns.

Yeah, but who knows if it is worth it? I never know about Saturn. Actually our composite Venus-Return this year has DESC on composite Saturn. As much as last year`s Venus return was nice looking, this years looks significant, too, but possibly separative? Or consolidating and volatile at the same time. lol

I felt so horrible for the months leading up to that first square (2011). But then there was a turning point and I just moved on. First the wound, then the healing.

Yeah, can`t imagine it to be too nice, and Tr chiron is going to be on my IC. Ugh.
I had the conjunction many many years ago (in 1989), a few months after my paternal grandfather died, and in the middle of a period when I`ve ALMOST got into a three party situation. Interestingly a lot of socializing that year, a lot of physical contact (wanted and unwanted (not in a hugely bad way, just a little difficult to set proper boundaries) and again it seems Chiron had showed itself in terms of people, well men, wanting to touch me. lol), ultimately the crush Ive had was remaining "unrequited" (mostly I think because I chose it to be in the end), though the flirtativeness was rather nice. lol But I was just very set in my expectations of the guy being a "player" and ultimately an "arrogant asshole" and I was certainly not fitting his "type", though there was a lot of interacting for him being completely uninterested in me. lol 
But well then it also brought me in conflict with another girl, who was very much into him, esp. after realizing I liked him, which happened actually the months before, and she was just more determined and got together with him but in that year they broke up, not sure who broke up with whom, but albeit it was not even about him, her and me were in an almost constant "underground struggle" until I very publicly blew up (in a bus!) that year and gave her a piece of my true thinking and telling her she should not dare to ever talk to me again because she was just so far "beneath" me and I wasn`t wanting to waste my time with a "piece of narcisistic trash" like her. 

It was the ONLY time that I was becoming really vulgar, well it was okay, I never had to deal with her again. lol And she WAS egocentric and narcisstic and for some reason terribly jealous of me and my friendships and connections, just set on eroding them whereever she could, and at some point I let her know I was seeing her through. But yeah not a fun time, or well yes it WAS a fun time, and then again it wasn`t. lol 

Tr Uranus was heading to conjunct my Venus at that time, too.
