Hey everyone, I have another curious question. Is there a such a thing as "the best time to travel" astrologically? Using the transits and progressions on your chart, could you find an answer? I read about electional astrology, but don't quite understand it. www.stariq.com/Main/Articles/P0001523.HTMthanks sven555

I'm sorry sven555, I really don't know! In my travels abroad, my favorite time was spent in Munich. At that time I had: * Tr SN conjunct moon, exact * Tr Saturn conjunct Jupiter, separating, 1° * Tr Uranus conjunct Aqua Mercury, less than 1° applying * Tr Mars-Pluto conjunct Sag Venus (ha! so no wonder!) * Tr Jupiter in my 12H, sextile Neptune. Tr Jupiter trine tr sun. Another remarkable travel experience happened with my Jupiter return, while the sun was applying to a conjunction with transiting and natal Jupiter: sudden opportunity to take a trip I had wanted for a long time. Also, my SR for one of my teen years has Venus exactly conjunct my Venus, Jupiter trine my sun, and a new moon conjunct Neptune-Uranus. My father decided spur-of-the-moment to send me to Paris as a birthday gift. Conclusion: 1) I guess that would be the conventional wisdom, that Jupiter-sun transits are good for travel. It's been true in my case. 2) Tr NN aspecting moon was a rather life-changing trip for me. 3) Sag Venus says, "ALL times are good travel times." I once climbed a mountain during a hurricane, while pregnant.

StarVega, thanks for your experiences, I will look out for those! I am thinking of going at the start of September, and the transits show a 10th/11th house focus ! I will be in the public eye alot

Hey sven555..! Depends on what kind of travel you're looking at - traditionally, of course: 1. Short-term or short-distance travel - *nice* transits to the 3rd house or it's ruler (benefics), flowing tr Mercury aspects. 2. Long-distance / long-term travel - 9th house transits, 9th house ruler, Jupiter transits to natal planets. Jupiter return definitely brings the big ticket opportunities. Side note: I also think one might need some Mars or Uranus transits to respective rulers/houses for some get-up-n-go (if one has a lot of "fixed" stuff going on in the natal). Although I can't speak for how "good" or not that would be - it would definitely provide impetus. Take it with a grain of salt though - I don't want to advise going under a Mars/Uranus transit to some ruler that lands you in a sudden accident.

I must say however, I`ve had some marvellous trips with the worst transits/progressions.
Like, ruler of my 9th house are Sun and Mercury, ruler of my 3rd house is Uranus, so these planets would always play a certain role in my travelling.
First time I travelled to London I was having
pr Sun on 00 Aquarius (disposited by Uranus) pr Sun square n Uranus Tr Uranus (in my 3rd house, the intercepted part) sqare n Sun and Mercury.
Needless to say that things did not go as planned beforehand and on short notice, and every kind of safety blanket I had counted on fell away, but the trip was a great one nevertheless.
