The Transit/Event Thread

Hey everyone,

Just thought it would be interesting if we all posted particular events that happened when we had certain planets aspect our angles or natal planets.

For example:

• Venus in Taurus conjunct my Natal Sun --> I was driving my car and sitting at the traffic lights and 2 girls were in the car adjacent to me and started whistling at me haha, no-one ever does that to me
• Mercury in Leo conjunct my Natal MC in Leo --> Communication skills enhanced to a public level. I had more comfort in speaking to strangers and believing in my own point of view. 
• Saturn in Sag trine my Natal MC in Leo --> A much longer transit with more life changing effects. It appears that Saturn gave me the ability to see more than one way around a problem and also that careers are never set in stone. When Saturn was direct and trining, I quit my job in a professional, well paid IT job for a more freelancer, risky start working for myself, and now Saturn is coming back in retrograde; perhaps he is checking up on me.
• Venus in Aries/Leo sextile Natal Mercury in Gemini --> This transit always seems to make me the peacemaker between 2 people.
• Mercury in Libra/Aquarius trine Natal Mercury in Gemini --> This always makes problem solving easier and better and getting along with people in a public/professional enviroment alot easier

I don't even know where to begin. In my mind, my life is all breaking down into transits.

Currently tr sun-Mars conjunct my 12H Saturn. For some reason yesterday I felt like looking up my great-grandfather again...there are ghost stories about him on the internet. Apparently he's still active in his house, and I found new stories.

Saturn = father/patriarch, whatever lingers for a long time...

Also I was watching video clips of a medium in action (Tyler Henry) and reading his book cover to cover in one sitting, almost.

Interest in dead people........yeah, sun and Mars moving through my 12th.

My great-grandfather's sun @ 1° Scorpio is square my Saturn. I'm always interested in that ongoing situation, I've mentioned it before. But it's usually at the back of my mind. Then I get riveted again.

Well as you know there was a short talk with P on friday, followed by him sneaking up on me during the saturday`s Open air (without me noticing); the transits are approximately the same of course, especially since he managed to pick the moment almost 24 hours later so the ASC`s were even closish. 
Personally I think actually HIS transits (and the transits to our composites) are more interesting than mine. 

What struck me however is that on both days Tr Mercury was EXACT on Tr DESC, and Tr Venus EXACT on Tr IC (I mentioned that on the other forum). 


Tr Moon was on the friday-encounter exactly conjunct Tr Chiron on 28 Pisces. 
On saturday Tr Moon had moved on to 11 Aries. 


On friday Tr MC was exactly conjunct my Neptune-NN on 10 Sag and his Mercury on 9 Sag
Tr ASC was nearing my Moon but was still 3 degrees away. 

Tr Moon-Chiron was actually exactly conjunct his Antivertex, squaring his Moon-MC exact, and squaring his Sun by 2 degrees, conjunct his ASC by 2 degrees, opposing his Saturn by 2 degrees. 

For me it was jsut a weak square to my Sun by 2 degrees separating. 

interesting enough Tr Sun was opposing composite Moon exact (on both days), and Tr Moon was square composite Sun by 1 degree on friday.

as for Saturday my transits were:

Tr Sun conjunct my Vertex by 2 degrees separating (was closer on friday)
Tr Sun on my Sun/Moon-mp by 2 degrees separating (also closer on friday)
however interestingly enough on saturday Tr Sun was very closely on my Mars/Jupiter-mp


Tr Moon opposing Pluto by 2 degrees separating
Tr MOon trine Neptune by 1 degree separating

Tr Mercury opposite Moon exact

Tr Venus conjunct my SN (2)
Tr Venus opposite my Neptune (2) 
Tr Venus square my Jupiter (1)

Tr Mars on my Moon/Venus-mp

Tr Jupiter trine my Moon 2 applying
Tr Jupiter square my Saturn 2 applying

Tr Uranus trine Sun 2 separating

Tr Pluto opposite Saturn 1 applying

Tr NN trine Sun-Mercury 1 separating

Tr ASC conjunct Moon exact

Tr MC conjunct NEptune-NN (2 separating)
TR MC square Jupiter (1 separating)


To be honest, it`s all not that exciting, for saturday, for friday certainly the Tr Sun conjunct my Vertex and Sun/Moon-mp, and Tr Venus-IC exact on my SN and opposing Neptune was interesting. 

For saturday actually mostly midpoint pictures stand out to me

Sun= Mars/Jupiter
Mars = Moon/Venus

(BTW on friday it was Moon=Saturn/Neptune. lol)


And what made this moment stand out certainly had something to do with transiting Mercury and my natal Moon becoming angular that day, of course my Moon is on Tr ASC at some point every day, but in this instance Tr Mercury was also joining in. 

So Tr ASC conjunct natal Moon
Tr DESC conjunct Tr Mercury
Tr Mercury opposite natal Moon 

might have been the main culprit, along with the midpoint pictures for me that day.

Tr Sun trine n Uranus exact (and his pr Moon is opposing his n Uranus exact currently; btw my pr Moon is on 10 Virgo on his nMars-Jupiter, and Tr Venus had been squaring it)

Tr Venus square n Mars 1 separating (was exact within the 24 hours in between our meeting on friday and saturday)
Tr Venus square n Jupiter 2 separating
Tr Mars opposite n Venus 1 separating
Tr Mars trine n ASC 1 separating

Tr Saturn conjunct n Neptune 2 applying

Tr Uranus trine n Sun 1 separating

I'm surprised you pay so much attention to transiting angles...do take the start time of an official event, and assume that has extra meaning?

Tr DSC when my wedding began was exactly conjunct my sun.

I'm not familiar with many of these midpoints so they doesn't translate into a "oh that might feel like...." reaction. You are far better versed in all of that.

Having a special place in my heart for full moons, I do like this a lot:

More to say on my end of things, since I've gotten older I find myself wearing makeup more often to balance my skin tone. Never thought I would wear foundation on a regular basis but it is what it is. And I've run out of my favorite, rather expensive foundation. Today, transiting Venus is conjunct my Mars, and I found a great, inexpensive replacement for what I had been wearing.

transiting angles are of course very very quick moving, they don`t have lasting effects. However in terms of events they are more than important, they are decisive. Because an event happens, or starts, in one moment, and that moment is infused with esp. what is conjunct the angles or aspecting angle rulers maybe, too.

Every other planet, except Moon, is there for one or two or three days, making the same aspects, in terms of outer planets, sometimes months. But if we check for a moment between two people, it`s the angles that describe what happens, how it effects the two of them, for the time their encounter happens.

Also whatever conjuncts an angle, becomes forefront and centre stage.
So in this case this moment certainly was infused with the energies of Mercury and Venus, and for each of us with the natal planets/ midpoints that were being triggered.


As for midpoints, it is pretty straightforward actually, just consider it like they are all in conjunction to each other, so for me this day was like having Tr Mars conjunct/opposite my Moon AND my Venus.
For him it was like having Tr Moon aspecting his Sun AND Venus. Actually that is interesting. I was having Moon/Venus triggered, he was having Sun/Venus-triggered, by two planets that were in mutual reception anyway.

Moon in Aries, disposited by Mars
Mars in CAncer, disposited by Moon

and for me it was Mars triggering Moon/Venus
for him it was Moon triggering Sun/Venus

hmmm. ...

oh and of course the quickly moving transiting ASC was triggering his Venus-Mars-Jupiter-combo (in form of Venus/Jupiter and Venus/Mars-mp), and where it becomes sort of connected to me is that transiting ASC was simultaneously conjunct my Moon.

This transiting ASC acting like a lamp, putting a spotlight on and illuminating certain..... things.

In this case apparently my Moon and his Venus, Mars and Jupiter. Do you hear me complain? No you don´t.

Well I spoke too soon.

Saw myself in different lighting and thought "What the hell?"

It's kind of funny though. I'm not positive but I thought I looked yellow, as if I deliberately applied jaundice cream.

Tr Mars conjunct my Saturn, no one would want to get Mars-involved with me looking like that. ROFL

Another $12 down the tubes. I should just bite the bullet and buy my other stuff.

Yes, yes. I know this mainly from experience because I check event charts all the time. If a very abrupt, interesting, poignant, or unusual thing happens, chances are I'll look at the chart.

I believe this as well. 

For instance I've had a tendency to feel pretty dark, or combative, or hopeless many times with transiting Pluto on the transiting IC, conjunct my sun, back when that was more exact. 

The reason I was asking for clarification was, you said "on Friday" and "on Saturday" so I wasn't sure what moment you were capturing exactly. I assume it's when he crept up on you on Saturday but I don't know the defining moment for Friday.....or if I do, I've sadly forgotten, and have to apologize for my bad memory.

The 12th house always seems to include dreams and hidden items. Jupiter is supposed to move into my 12th house soon and I read it is a sign of spiritual cleaning and rejuvenation.

Almost as if it clears your psyche in time for the 1st house transit where things get expansive.

Yes, that makes sense to me. I also wonder if it is an especially strong effect if a transiting planet becomes angular on a transiting angle AND additionally both trigger a natal planet, angle or even midpoint. 

Like in my most recent transit case there were two transiting planets angular (Mercury on DESC, Venus on IC; and actually Neptune was on the Antivertex) and additionally those were aspecting, at least partially, natal planets. 

The Transiting Mercury was not directly aspecting one of P`s planets (though it did aspect some midpoints, maybe in such a case the orbs should be really small) though it did aspect my Moon (and composite Pallas and actually our progressed composite Mercury is on 16°54 Aquarius, and the transiting Mercury was on 16°31 Leo)

But transiting Venus and the tr IC was certainly aspecting planets in both charts, including the 3rd house rulers for each of us, especially on friday, when the club concert took place, and well we were talking afterwards after all so I suppose it makes sense.

I was focusing on saturday mostly except singling out some special things that happened on friday, which weren`t at place on saturday, like that exact Moon-Chiron-conjunction falling right onto his Antivertex and squaring his own Moon-MC, was only happening on friday; there was no quick moving planet like Moon or angle activating Chiron on saturday. 


and on friday the transiting ASC was actually a bit far off my Moon, and Mercury, too, but like him they crept closer towards me on saturday. 
On the other hand the transiting Venus and transiting IC was most closely falling onto my nodal axis and Neptune and his Mercury on friday, but not on saturday, by then there was more of an orb involved. Event hough interestingly enough Tr Venus-IC was in 1 degree orb for squaring both sets of Jupiter for both days and also in orb for squaring his Mars, while on saturday the opposition of Tr Venus to my Neptune was already passing by over 2 degrees. 


I think for event charts (I really mean if you analyze a moment, not a larger timeframe as background developmental phase), I would opt for about 1 degree orb, especially if it is about planetary contacts. In terms of angles it narrows down the timeframe to about 4 minutes (though could be a bit less or more with the rising signs.) In terms of Moon a 1 degree orb gives a time frame of approximately 2 hours surrounding that moment, with Sun (and Venus most of the time and Mercury) it would be at least the same day; since there are 24 hours a day, those Sun transits could relate to a lot of different things, moments or people even. 

So it is good to have the angles as pinpointer to THIS moment and THIS person, especially of course if the same angular aspect is activating both charts within that orb. So I can say with a bit of certainty that this moment really was about him (and me), and not maybe about the aquaintance I met about an hour earlier. 


That is why I am going on about the angles so much in event charts. On these collective parties you have contact with so many people, so this is a good indicator and instrument to finetune the WHO is being described in this moment?

I`d say there might have been two definining moments on friday. the first the short encounter before the show, and the talk we`ve had after the concert, though on the concert itself there might have been 2 or 3 semi-defining moments. But since I am always taking into consideration that I might delude myself about something, well an actual talking with somebody is as real as it gets. lol
Though of course certain things within that talk can still be misread of course.

Are you saying I expect so little from life, that even those random things can make me happy?

If you do, you are right. lol 

No seriously, I think I have an appreciation for the flavour of sometimes even small moments or interactions,a s I seem to perceive so many layers in one moment sometimes. It is just a question of perception, and I guess that is just how I see life. As an unfolding novel. LOL 
And those small moments are like the little descriptions or even little scenes building up the chapters of that novel. It`s just how I perceive life and the world. When Shakespeare said: "All world`s a stage, and we are (merely) players", I often feel he was referring to me, or at least how I see that drama "life" unfold on earth. And when I see or listen to people, I see stories, usually episodic ones, and I see threads of these stories leading from one person to another, making different chapters/ stories, depending on the role each one plays in each other`s story. 

Can`t help it, that is how I see everything. And that does not mean I undervalue the seriousnes or meaning of life. It`s just that I see those patterns, no matter if they are real or just my perception. 

And I guess one aspect that intrigues me about the P-story is that I`ve thought this story to be a finished one so often before, and the book always fell out of its shelf and opened itself again and it seemed like there were still parts unwritten, and how it changes from chapter to chapter. There is a real character development there, which of course affects the "relational threads" as well, and I´ve still haven`t understood what kind of genre this story is. Maybe it just changes too much as it goes to be limited to one genre. 

I am just curious to see how it is going to evolve, what its "destination" is, and I surely want to be there to see it (and of course I am not just its reader, but apparently also am part of that story - and yet some of the twists I did NOT see coming! which is what keeps that whole thing exciting for me and me curious. And for once NOT bored, because I already know how it`s going to end with the first sentence I read. This story is a bit more multilayered than that.
