I would enjoy that Portugal, England, Sweden and Japan group. Now, to be honest, I am really excited for the decisions. Some groups can be so strong and others so weak - I will not name the teams of course. And I think FIFA wants to include even more countries...this will be fun to watch. Oh, and 1st potters will cross their fingers to not have Spain, Croatia or even England in their groups...although I would not mind to face England in group stage. Good recent memories Seriously, England - why not a UK team like in Olympics by the way - is a good team but I do not see them by any means as favourite. To much hype I think, like Belgium. Good players but bad team. The reverse, however, happens in the youngest squads, where England has been having excellent results. Azif

haha azif, that would be a tough group! However the groups haven't been announced yet! Portugal to win the world cup? Yes you are right, England's youth teams have done brilliantly well, but in recent past; the players in the senior team haven't played with each other often. However the youth teams bond and play with each other; so it makes sense to bring them through and test them out. You won't win the tournament with a team full of old heads

Yes. They will be known by December 1st. I really doubt - without any analysis - that Portugal wins the title. I mean, I would love that but maybe we reach semi-finals. We have chances. Some people think Eurocup was a gift from de Skies but we must face it: I can not remember a bad Portuguese squad, and last year our coach had a tremendous belief. He said he would only leave France by 11th July. And he did it. We failed in the easiest part of the tournament but, hey. France was at home - like Portugal in 2004. Same delusion. My favourites, without knowing anything at all, not even Astrology, goes for Brazil.I would not like them to win, but I think they may win. Germany in my number 2, followed by Argentina. I do not see this decadent Spain winning the title, France is good but has no champion stuff. Italy is out. Chile is out, which is an annoying team for everybody they faced. Russia is just making its presence. Portugal is in a 2ndline of favs, but far away of the main 3. But we have been growing excellent players and maybe we can make something fun overthere in the white lands. Can not await to see Iceland playing. Limited players aware of their limits but warriors until the whistle blows. Icelandics just make sure to lock your country before going to Russia, because there will be barely no one there Just kiddding Love Iceland Azig

But both youth England, Portugal, Spain and Germany have been great lately, winning several tournaments. Things are done well. I think Italy, Netherlands and maybe maybe France need to reboot their way of thinking football and prepare a suistanable future, specially for the next 10 years. Indeen, Portugal, England and Germary have been working very well.

azif, Imagine if the top 16 teams all qualify for the last 16 round. That would setup some tasty matches Iceland are like what Leicester were haha, hopefully Iceland can cause more upsets. Maybe against England I will ask a horary about if England will win haha. I agree with you though. Both youth England, Portugal, Spain and Germany have been great recently.
