Hi everyone, There has been a theory that each of us contain a 'second' 7th house. If people aspect any planet in this house or the ruler of the house; it is likely to affect us. How do I calculate my 'second' 7th house?- You must know your time, date and location of birth.
- You must have knowledge of sign-to-house relationships.
The process:- Draw your natal chart using your date, time and location of birth.
- Find your DSC cusp and memorize the sign on the cusp. (For me, it is Taurus).
- Now using the table below, find your 'second' 7th house.
DSC cusp | Go to this house | Aries | 1st house | Taurus | 2nd house | Gemini | 3rd house | Cancer | 4th house | Leo | 5th house | Virgo | 6th house | Libra | 7th house | Scorpio | 8th house | Sagittarius | 9th house | Capricorn | 10th house | Aquarius | 11th house | Pisces | 12th house |
The Results:For me, I have a Taurus DSC cusp, so I go to the 2nd house in my natal chart. My 2nd house contains Jupiter and is in the sign Sagittarius; it is also ruled by Sagittarius and Jupiter is sitting there so my 2nd house is very Sagittarius/Jupiterian. It is no wonder people with Sag planets always seem to be drawn to me; they become a bit obsessed with talking with me and seem to defy this cookbook analogy of Sag people being free-spirited. It might be the fact that my Mercury is in Gemini and opposite Jupiter, creating a swing for them to 'sit on'. People with planets aspecting my Jupiter also seem to remain close to me for a decent period of time too.
Try it out for yourself; see if anyone you know aspects your planets in your particular house or aspects the ruler of that house.

But if we are looking for the second descandant, we generally look for the vertex point. Some astrologers agree that the vertex is the second dsc, some believe that vertex is a karmic point. sven555

lucina, aludra, This is just a theory to test; it is coincidence that when I undertook the practice, my second house was the selected house. There is no 'one size fits all'.

sven555 I remember Mir from LL was using that theory extensively. I find it interesting, as I do find new theories interesting. In my case it is the 3rd house, which has Jupiter intercepted there, and that makes a lot of sense, but then again the ruler of my DESC is in Sagittarius, so that is probably not surprising either. I donĀ“t think we need a "second 7th house", we have one 7th house and that is enough, however I do think of what you mentioned as some kind of resonance and maybe differentiating the basic 7th house-meaning.

lucina , No problem, I used the word second in single quotes because it is a loose association. Perhaps I selected the wrong word to classify this theory. It is more a sensitive point.

Mine would be the 10th house, which is in Pisces and contains Venus and Saturn. I have not come across many Pisces people actually apart from my grandmother, and I think my dog is a pisces too haha I suppose I have come across a few Neptunians though, quite a few people Ive known in various friendship groups have Moon-Neptune in their natals.
Do you know the most people I attract are mercurial people. But I don't know why, my IC is in Virgo and Gemini is across my 11th and 12th houses so I don't get it haha
Mind you my Vertex is in Sag actually
