Hi everyone, Has anyone had this in their composites? Could anyone help with an interpretation? I would guess that there is an element of direction and fate to the relationship, but that's going by the North Node. I'm not sure what to say about Mars. I have some thoughts but I'm hesitant to write them down. All I can think of are the buzzwords associated with MArs like physical, argumentative, combative, assertive, courageous, defensive, heated...etc etc. It can't simply mean the people are fated to argue, surely? The composite I'm looking at has the conjunction in Virgo trine Neptune. I don't have the birthdata of one of them so not sure about house placements.

Mars can mean those things; but equally it can also mean fear, anxiety, pressure etc. If Mars is conjunct NN in composite, often it should mean both people are working in the same direction and can work as a team together if they so chose to. If other aspects contradict this then it can mean work together and things start well until they conflict.

If other aspects contradict this then it can mean work together and things start well until they conflict. ^This. What other aspects does Mars make? How does the rest of the composite stack up? I've been mystified by composite planets on the nodes. Descriptions online seem vague or grandiose.
Trying to summarise from Townley's book:
It feels like you have a lot of drive together. But despite your motivation to take action and do things together, you must be careful to not overextend yourselves. You can combine your energies to pursue a higher goal. But be careful not to be too demanding of one another in the process.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another thing is that the nodes represent current "trends", so to speak. i.e., if something squares the nodes, it goes against established social mores in some way or simply has difficulty coming into being. Sorta like trying to swim "against the current." Having a planet directly on the north node means that planet will tap into the "right" direction or "right" way forward. It is forced into being because it feels like something you *have* to figure out. Mars on the NN can amplify that Martian need to be doing something, conquering new ground, maybe even stirring up trouble. In a composite, it might be hard to relax with this aspect? They might need to work on accepting that they don't always have to be doing something to enjoy one another's company. The north node is also "new" and unexplored. So, even though there is potential for achievements of a Martian nature, it's not something that comes easy. It demands almost constant involvement (and that may become tiring). If tempered, these people can work together in the same direction like sven555 mentioned.

Thank you so much for your replies there pufferfishy and sven555, it makes sense. It feels like an aspect that suggests the relationship is defined by "doing" something significant. Depending on the house its placed in, I suppose it could herald becoming a power couple to fostering children...something like that? I guess? The idea of conquering makes understanding this better actually. It makes me think of a couple like Beyonce and Jay-Z, or perhaps more sinisterly, Myra Hindley and Ian Brady (child murderers). The partnership being defined by the actions the couple take which seal their fates, so to speak.

No problem FruityLlama, the house placement is important as it signifies how important the aspect is and also where the two people can be most effective. I am not sure about becoming a power couple to fostering children but as you can see, you gave two examples of couples which are partnerships for good or bad reasons.
