It's time to get the 2021 thread going as we are only 20 days late!!

I'll start with a match which just concluded in Italy between Udinese and Atalanta.

Udinese (3.70) 1-1 Atalanta (2.00)

• Atalanta are the proposed favourites due to odds, league position and current form.
• ASC/DSC in Cancer/Capricorn, ASC is valid due to 8 degrees of Cancer.
• Moon in VOC in Aries so no more aspects to anything, neither the Moon's antiscion in 2'36 Virgo.
• Saturn (L7) is in trine POF and Venus (POF antiscion) sits in the 7th house helping underdogs.
• Mars (L1 dispositor) in 11th house, sextile ASC but inconjunct POF.
• I suppose it is fair the match ended 1-1.

• Valencia are at home and favourites, so they take ASC, Sun (L1) and POF and Venus (L10)
• Osasuna therefore take Saturn (L7)
• Moon's next aspect? To Venus which should help Valencia but hindered by square to ASC.
• POF dispositor is Venus which is also helps Favourite.
• Sun conjuncts Saturn, so combust Saturn is weakened but both planets move to square POF and MC.
• This should lead to the conclusion of the favourite ultimately winning but will not to be straightforward.
• Let's pick Valencia to win.

Tougher than expected for Valencia who were the favourites. A draw is a fair result.

Brentford (6.00) vs Leicester (1.50) - Kick off 14:30 local

• Leicester are favourites so take Moon in Gemini, Mercury in 9th in Aquarius
• Brentford take Saturn in Aquarius, burnt by Sun in 8th
• Mercury squares POF, this should help Leicester
• I expect Leicester to progress

After Brentford scored early in the match, Leicester came from behind to win 3-1 and qualify.

Today there are a few matches being played in the Coppa Italia competition.

One match is Atalanta vs Lazio, which kicks off at 17:45 local time, played at Atalanta's stadium.

Atalanta (1.75) vs Lazio (4.20)

• The chart is valid due to having an ASC at 13 degrees.
• The favourite is defined as Atalanta.
• Moon in Cancer sits in 12th house, and the Moon's antiscion trines both Sun and Saturn (L1 and L7), but it moving towards Saturn.

The result was not correct but the game finished 3-2 to Atalanta after a seesaw match, so they qualified.

Here is a match from the English Championship today:

Norwich (1.73) vs Middlesbrough (5.00) - Kick off @ 12:30 Local

• Norwich is classed as the favourite, taking the ASC and Mercury in 10th.
• Mercury here seems to suggest a good start for them and the antiscion of the Moon sextile to Mercury helps also.
• MC ruler Saturn in the same sign as the POF helps the favourite.
• Middlesbrough as Jupiter doesn't have too much strength.
• Norwich advantage here.

Leicester (3.40) vs Liverpool (2.00) - Kick off 12:30 Local time

Liverpool are in a bad run of form as of this year and Leicester start the day just above Liverpool in 3rd place. Victory for Liverpool is very important while a victory for Leicester will extend the gap between the teams.

• Chart is just valid due to ASC at 4 degrees, favourites take Moon, POF and Jupiter; underdogs take Saturn.
• As you can see the POF is in Cancer, so this helps the favourite a lot, Moon is also in Pisces helping favourites, but only a small boost.
• Antiscion of POF aspects Saturn via trine but not as strong as the POF location in my opinion.
• This suggests Liverpool should win this match but Leicester should be able to score at least once.

Unfortunately Liverpool lost the match from a late capitulation where they conceded 3 goals in 8 minutes to lose 3-1 to Leicester.
Both teams did score and it is possible the POF trine to Saturn being more influential that expected.

I looked at their recent encounter which Mönchengladbach won 4-2, that day the game went against the favourites (Dortmund). 

In this match between them, which will be played on 02.03.2021, I think the favourites will win this match. The favourites are Dortmund I believe, despite the game being played in a number of weeks.
